CELEBRATING OUR YOUTH /NOON - 7:30 PM

FRIDAY, JULY 10th

The entertainment kicks off at Noon with"Celebrating Our Youth Day". Hosted by Genell "Ruckus" Johnson and sponsored by Fly Magazine. The finest youth performers featured on stage with hip hop, neo-soul, reggae, gospel hip hop & spoken word and even some Hip Hop karaoke with D.J. Blaze. Featuring A-Club, Zin, Freddy and the Ivory Sensations, Joy C, Air Dubai, Moetavation and more!

CBAF Youth Day Showcase was held on Tuesday June 2, 2009 at the Crossroads Theater. It was a great success!!! All participants will be performing on the Youth Main Stage at The Colorado Black Arts Festival on Friday July 10, 2009.

SATURDAY JULY 11th / 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM

CHILDREN’S PAVILION “Learnavation” children will explore and express their art abilities with color, texture and form. A hands on art making project for kids 5 to 12 years, “Storyville” is a place to gather the little one and share the African and African-American stories in the oral traditions. Stories will be read or told by local storytellers and leading members of the community. The parks playground within this years festival grounds, is an added bonus for the children's paviliion area.
